Quick and Easy Protein Oats

Want to learn how to make quick and tasty protein oats? Workout Meals nutritionist Gemma brings you her protein oats recipe to kick-start your mornings or perhaps a post dinner dessert.

INGREDIENTS

• 1/2 cup 2 minute oats
• 1 cup milk or nut milk
• 1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Paste
• 1 scoop chocolate protein powder

Protein: 27.1g

Carbohydrate: 32.5g

Fats: 8.3g

Calories: 317 cal

KJ: 1324 kJ

 

METHOD

Combine oats, milk and vanilla pasta into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer stirring until mixture thickens.

Once thickened to your liking, Take off the heat and stir through protein powder. Drizzle with honey and top with fresh fruits.

Note: I like the mixture to be slightly runny as the protein powder sucks up all moisture and this stops it from becoming dry.

DO NOT cook it with protein powder it will go lumpy and dry.
