With so many fad diets out there, from the ketogenic diet to intermittent fasting and even high carbs - the subject of weight loss can be extremely confusing. Yet, all diets, including those just mentioned, have one thing in common . . .
They all involve calorie deficit.
Calorie deficit is, in fact, the key to fat loss. It doesn’t really matter which type of diet you choose. The key is to stick to the one that works best for you. Personally, a high carb diet works the best for me. I know that a keto diet is not a good idea for me because I will not be able to eat hardly any carbs over the long term.
So, rather than confusing yourself about the benefits of one diet in comparison to another, simply find the diet that works for you and that you will be able to stick to over the long term. As long as you ensure that you are reducing calories over your previous way of eating, you will lose stored body fat.
At the end of the day, a good balance of the three macronutrients - proteins, carbohydrates, and fats - combined with a caloric reduction will bring you the results you are after.
